Out for a stroll

Sunday 26 February
A lovely morning up on the Norfolk coast and on the way to work saw this Red-legged Partridge out for it's morning constitutional.

And a Partridge in a ..... frozen field

Saturday 11 February
With temperatures dropping overnight to minus 13 degrees I went steadily into work (having written my X Trail off the day before).  The fields between Docking and Deepdale were again full of Hares but they were not hanging around this time and ran off every time I slowed the car down - it is bright blue !

However the bonus was some nice Grey Partridges sitting still for a change. In fact the Greys well outnumbered the Red-legs, with some thirty or more birds in the fields.
Some snaps from the car.....

Hare today....

Tuesday 7 February 2012

Still lots of Hares in the fields on the way to work, and just occasionally they sit close enough to the hedge to be photographed. Still very jumpy and after a few seconds of they go. Highest count between Docking and Burnham Deepdale is thirty-seven.
